Anyone that follows me on Social Media knows I'm nuts about Tiny Living! I am fascinated by the economy and function of space. I admire folks that have taken the plunge and live in a Tiny House, Airstream Trailer or a small non-conventional space. Bonus points if you built the house or renovated the trailer or space yourself!
I like the idea of living simply. Unflattering your life and getting rid of the excess stuff. Think how about how great you feel after you have cleaned out the garage or storage shed. Imaging how you would feel if you did this with every room of your house! Had I been born about 120 years earlier I believe I would have been a Mountain Man. Traveling lightly, living off the land and enjoying nature rather than a bunch of stuff I owned. Think of all the time you would have to sit and drink coffee and contemplate life rather than worrying about how you are going to buy more stuff.
I wish more states and communities would embrace the Tiny House movement. Portland and Seattle have done so. It makes sense on so many levels. Who knows...The Pacific Northwest caused the rest of the nation to embrace coffee as a necessity of daily life. And, they are showing us how bicycling can be adopted as a viable form of transportation. Maybe they can do the same with Tiny Living.
I am addicted to Tiny Living and Trailer living shows, blogs, YouTube clips. Lolita gets a little nervous when I disappear outside and she hears me hammering. One of these days she may be in for a BIG surprise!
